Stopped here for lunch as we were leaving Nevada City. We order two pizzas and one was absolutely better than the other. Definitely would recommend their eggplant and pesto pizza. The flavors just bursted in your mouth. I also really enjoyed their pastries. They have an excellent pastry chef. My favorite was the macaroons. Next time I'm in town, I would like to try their beer.

If you are interested in a very good pastry, a wholesome sandwich, salad or a delicious pizza then look no further. Came here to grab some goodies before heading to the Yuba river for a dip and the seasonal veggie croissant was the perfect meal. I also sampled the peaches and cream bun, their bluleberry kombucha and strawberry corn muffin. So yummy! A little bit of a wait but who cares, usually that's a promising sign of what's to come!

I am fair so I will give 4* considering this is one of the best places to eat in NC and is really consistent with desserts, drinks, pizza, vibes. I've eaten her dozens of times and would, like most locally, recommend it. But had my first *really* negative experience so I need to vent. First, there was a huge rush, as they often have, and the line was to the door -- but they only have one cashier taking orders. But line moved and all was good until we ordered. Here's where the problems started: -- pizza came out right away but was badly burnt on the whole outside ring. Still good, and luckily my partner likes those carcinegenic burnt parts lol. Then we waited for my date's sandwich. And waited. And waited. At 30 minutes she politely checked in, in case they had misplaced it. It was busy, remember. No, they said, it was in queue. At 45 minutes I went up to ask, again trying to be quite polite. "It is coming, we got backed up -- you got your pizza, right?" I "assumed positive intent" and let possible attitude fly by... (Look, the pizza was fine, but that was my meal, not hers -- should I eat it while she sits there waiting and waiting? It was awkward.) Finally, the sandwich (veggie melt), which was only adequete and nothing complicated, arrived. Fifty minutes from order, 45 from arrival of my pizza. OK, fine, we will live. I then went to order a takeout sandwich for a relative. No problems, line was gone by now. Then the sandwich to go arrived and things got ugly. The guy who seemed to be fronting the kitchen side slapped the sandwich box on the table with major impact. I ignored it. Again, working to be polite...I had the termerity to ask for a to-go bag. At this point, my nemesis, a tall skinny guy with his shirt unbuttoned to the waist, made his feelings more blunt: He glared at me, shook out the bag and thrust it at me. I placed my sandwich for my grieving relative in the bag and turned back to my table. At this point, my partner had gone for a walk. At this point, my nemesis then stalked toward my table which I was returning to and asked, voice dripping with hositility, if we were done and started to bus the table. I asked if we were supposed to bus the table and, like a furious schoolteacher in a Monty Python skit, he grabbed the table note that said as much. I said, "Oh, no problem, I'll do it, sorry." He ignored this and we began an awkward silent competition to see who could bus the table more and faster. Then he stormed off without a word. All of this I stomached without comment, but when I got outside, the anger hit me. I had just spent about $100 for lunch, coffee and desserts for 3 people and our only crime was to quietly check on an order that took nearly an hour to arrive -- a freaking sandwich. Eff that guy and eff people who think they can talk their personal frustrations out on other people, whether strangers or otherwise. I'm sure his day was long and busy, he doesn't want to be working in the service industry, or whatever but eff you for making my day a little bit crap, too. I've bussed in restaurants, been a taxi driver, painted houses, etc., and I never made customers feel bad because I was bitter about my situation. Eff that guy and Three Forks for enabling him.

Had the best margarita pizza there yesterday! Super fresh ingredients, delicious crust and all around one of the bests I've had. Great atmosphere in the bakery/restaurant as well. Definitely recommend!
